Marvel · 1 argument
Marvel’s supremacy lies in its consistent character-focused narratives and relatable heroes. While DC boasts iconic figures, Marvel excels at grounding power in human flaws, fostering deeper emotional connections. The success of the MCU – a $29.6 billion franchise – demonstrates this broad appeal. Characters like Spider-Man resonate because of Peter Parker’s struggles, not just his abilities. This emphasis on relatable stakes and consistent world-building, across comics and adaptations, creates a more enduring and engaging universe.

DC’s strength resides in its foundational mythos and willingness to explore complex, morally grey themes. Unlike Marvel’s often optimistic tone, DC consistently tackles weighty philosophical questions and deconstructs the superhero archetype. Works like *Watchmen* and *The Dark Knight Returns* aren’t just superhero stories; they’re literary explorations of power, justice, and societal decay. This willingness to push boundaries and create enduring, iconic legends solidifies DC’s place as the more culturally significant universe.

DC is far ahead of Marvel in terms of comic book fans, do not look at movie gimmicks. Its always about comics and anime for most of the fans like me. Marvel may have been great only in movies and even in movies see Nolan's Dark Knight series and Snyder cut movies. Old school Superman from C Reeve and old Batman, Flash series etc.
